"When 30 years ago, Marek Żydowicz, the founder of the EnergaCAMERIMAGE Festival, came up with the idea of organizing the event that celebrates the visual aspect of movies, as well as its creators, many filmmakers disbelieved the success of this undertaking. It was claimed that a film image cannot be subjected to the same evaluation criteria as, for example, a painting, which completely deprived it from its artistic expression."
